After years of working in Los Angeles and the Bay Area, I’ve recently relocated to Austin, where I’m currently seeing guests at Roar Salon, located in Downtown Austin on Rainey Street — a warm, welcoming space where your time is valued, and your hair is treated with devoted attention.

Story
Hello Beautiful,
My name is Jennifer Breña, and I’ve been living my dream as a hairstylist since 2005, with love for the art of hair for as long as I can remember. My goal is to create a beautiful, personal experience that leaves you feeling confident, refreshed, and more connected to your natural beauty.
I began my career in Los Angeles, assisting at the renowned Chris McMillan Salon, and spent time working behind the scenes on photo shoots, music videos, and commercials. While I loved the energy of those creative spaces, I quickly realized that my true passion lives in the salon - crafting personalized cuts and color, and building lasting relationships with the people in my chair.
Advanced education and hands-on training have always been the backbone of my craft. I continue to invest in learning and evolving, so that I can bring fresh perspective, skill, and inspiration to every guest who sits in my chair.
Outside of the salon, I spend my time with my husband, daughter, and our tiny dogs - either relaxing at home or traveling to Italy to visit family. I’m deeply passionate about travel, yoga, and personal growth - always seeking new ways to evolve and uplift those around me.

Breña Haircut – $150
A custom cut designed to complement your natural texture, face shape, and lifestyle.
Includes a luxurious wash and blowout.
Curly Cut (Deva method) – $225 - $300 A personalized, curl-by-curl dry cut tailored to your unique texture, length, and density.
Pricing varies based on length, density, and time required (typically 1.5 to 2 hours).
Please note: A complimentary in-person consultation is required for all new curly guests prior to booking.
Blowout – $85
A signature wash and style designed for softness, shine, and natural movement.
Dimensional Color
Sun-kissed brightness, soft contrast, and color that grows out effortlessly.
Face-Framing Highlights – $165+
Soft brightness placed around the face to add lift and glow. Perfect for refreshing your look between full lightening services.
Partial Highlight – $260
Classic foil work through the top and sides to create contrast and dimension where it counts. Ideal for a lived-in, low-maintenance refresh.
Full Highlight – $350 Comprehensive foil placement throughout the entire head for maximum lightness, brightness, and depth.
Partial Balayage – $285
Hand-painted lightening for soft dimension and movement. A great choice for a natural look that grows out beautifully.
Full Balayage – $385
Customized balayage placement throughout the hair for all-over radiance and subtle contrast. Low-maintenance, high-impact color.
All dimensional color services include a gloss and root tap, if needed, to refine tone and enhance longevity.
Tone and Coverage
Maintain your tone, blend greys seamlessly, and keep your color looking fresh and luminous between lightening appointments.
Root Touch-Up (Grey Coverage) – $165
A single-process color service to blend or cover greys while maintaining depth and tone.
Includes a gloss to refresh the mids and ends, ensuring a seamless, luminous finish from roots to ends.
Gloss / Toner (no blowdry) – $75
A semi-permanent shine treatment used to refresh faded color, tone brassiness, or add softness and dimension. Ideal between full-color services or after blonding. Blowdry not included. Add-on available or combine with a haircut or styling service.
Gloss + Blowout Package- $150
A custom gloss + signature blowout, perfect for in-between maintenance or special occasions.

Kérastase Deep Conditioning Treatment – $45
A luxurious, targeted in-salon ritual for nourishment, strength, or shine.
Kérastase Première Detox Treatment – $65
A targeted in-salon treatment that detoxifies hair from calcium and mineral buildup caused by hard water — a common culprit behind color fading, dryness, and breakage. This deep-cleansing ritual strengthens the hair from within, restoring softness, shine, and color vibrancy.
